ºÚÁÏÍø works closely with Lutheran Education Queensland and Independent Schools Queensland to continually monitor the spread of COVID-19, and identify and manage any impacts on the College. Queensland Health and the Australian Department of Health are also working tirelessly to manage and contain the impact of this virus. If your child develops flu-like symptoms, please:
→ Dispose of tissues in the bin immediately
→ Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of their elbow
→ Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap is unavailable
→ Wash their hands regularly with soap and water, particularly before and after eating, and after going to the toilet
The College is currently operating under a heightened COVID Restrictions based on Queensland Government and QLD Department of Health advice.

Though we will endeavour to maintain our school calendar, it is our top priority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our College Community.

Should a case be identified in our school, ºÚÁÏÍø will work closely with the family and Queensland Health to respond to the situation and work to ensure that our response has the health of all members of the community as our first priority.
If there is a confirmed case at our school, it is likely that we will need to close for a period to allow Queensland Health to assess the situation. The College will work with Queensland Health to perform contact tracing as required to identify individuals who may have come in contact with a COVID-19 case. Contact will be made with parents, caregivers and staff who have come into contact with a confirmed case and further advice will be given by Queensland Health.
ºÚÁÏÍø will then work with our cleaning contractors and or other relevant specialists to conduct cleaning of our facilities as required, to ensure our school is safe for students and staff to return when clearance is given.
Further to any local case of COVID-19 within the College community, the Queensland or Federal Government may elect to suspend face to face teaching due to a more generalised increase in local cases as a preventative measure. Should the need arise, the College has plans in place to manage this scenario and will communicate with parents and caregivers.
